Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National
Park
The Place of Refuge is very scared
to the Hawaiian people. Log on the National Parks website and view more photos
and the history of the park. The park is located south of Kona.
The beach is complete with sand, lava, and palm trees. A morning
wedding is best at the Place of Refuge due to the amount of rainfall
in the evenings and the heavy traffic in the afternoon. |

Paradise Cove
Paradise Cove is a small secluded
cove just minutes from downtown Kona. This site offers sand,
lava, and tropical greenery for backdrops for your wedding. The
sunsets are beautiful from this location and because the cove
is located on a point of the island, the rains seldom reach this
far out from the mountain. When it does rain over the mountain
your wedding is blessed with a beautful rainbow. |
 |
Kikaua Park
Kikaua Park is centrally located north of the Kona International Airport. There is no ground fee but a permit is required and must be file at least 30 days in advance. No last minute weddings are allowed at this location. If you desire this location you must book your wedding early so your chances of obtaining the permit are greater. Call us at 1-866-933-5662 to check availability. |

Holoholokai
Holoholokai Public Beach is north
of the Fairmont Orchid Hotel. This beach setting offers coral,
lava, tropical greenery and sand. It's a short walk from the
parking lot and our best location for spotting whales between
December and April. |
 |
Living Stones Church
Living Stones Church is located
in the heart of downtown Kona. With plenty of parking and a large
lawn this is a great location for weddings parties numbering
over 30. This location is also perfect to have your reception
catered on the lawn with the sun setting into the ocean as your
backdrop. |
 |
St. Peter's Church
St. Peter's Church is located
downtown Kona on famous Ali'i Drive. The church is ran by St.
Michael's Church, but you do not have to be Catholic to get married
here. Morning weddings are best here, but we have preformed many
sunset weddings here also. |

Kaloko-Honokohau National
Park
The locals call this Green Turtle
Beach. There is usually a green turtle or two that will show
up for your wedding. They love beaching themselves on the sand
and enjoy a needed rest. This park is the only National Park
that is opened 24 hours a day. It is located between the airport
and downtown Kona. This is a great location to bring food and
drink and watch the sunset. |
 |
Outrigger at Keauhou Resort
The Outrigger charges a ground
fee of $300, but this includes choice of grounds location, chairs
for your guests, wedding arch, and a backup plan with use of
the ballroom if it rains. Their staff is excellent in working
with your wedding party to provide a reception for your guests.
They recently opened a section of beach that has been untouched
for years. You now have a garden, lawn, or beach location to
choose from. Kona Weddings will provide you with a travel quote
for your lodging needs if you wish to use the Outrigger at Keauhou
as your vacation resort. |

Public Beach at the Four Seasons
The public beach at the Four
Seasons Resort is an excellent location. Just a few miles north
of the airport and just a few miles south of the Waikoloa area.
This location offers sand, surf, turtles, and tropical greenery.
Many times we have this beach to ourselves. For a sunset wedding...
we arrive just as everyone else is leaving for the day. |
